Asha De Vos is an inspiration of our time.

She was named as the BBC top 100 women in the year 2018. One of her portraits is now hung at the Oxford university’s five centuries old building. She was the first Sri Lankan woman to be selected so. Her journey in mammal research lead her to her to be the first Sri Lankan to gain a PhD in that field of study. I felt she has an unquenchable thirst for the whale conservation and we are lucky to have her in our shores.

But my interview with her is more to find out her motivation, passion and what lead her to choose a relatively an ‘unknown’ industry for Sri Lankans and to dive such a great length.

Hi, my name is Ramindu Randeni I’m a life coach and my interview series is focused on creating insightful meaningful conversation with inspiring and successful people of Sri Lanka.
